The beginning of his passion
Steve has been a pioneer in the treatment of lymphedema dating back to his certification in 1993 at Lerner Lymphedema Services PC Clinic. During these early years, Steve developed an overall personal satisfaction and fondness in the patient results from lymphedema treatment. To feed his passion to learn more, Steve attended the world-renowned Foeldi Clinic in Hintzergaten, Germany where he perfected more treatment techniques and advanced his knowledge and skill sets.

Sharing his knowledge with others
In the late 1990’s, Steve realized the need to educate others in the field of lymphedema to help patients get properly diagnosed, receive the appropriate treatment, and live healthy, fulfilled lives. He has been a part of two certified schools with his latest, The Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, conducting dozens of classes annually, offering CDT certification courses for medical professionals in various hospitals and clinical settings. Steve is regularly requested as a faculty member or industry expert at clinic conferences throughout the world.
Filling patient needs
Steve has accomplished many of his goals in the clinical treatment of lymphedema from disease awareness to growing the number of practicing therapists, to setting new treatment standards for proper patient care. But his hard work isn’t finished. Now he is setting his sights on product development and innovation to keep the standards of lymphedema treatment set high, while making treatment more effective and patient friendly.
